Gain firsthand exposure to government, education, business, healthcare and community issues. Work alongside emerging and established community leaders. Develop a project that benefits Washington County. The program schedule and required participation are supported by the application, including the October 14, 2026, orientation, monthly sessions, government meetings, Business & Industry session, and graduation/project presentation.

Orientation - October 14, 2026, -  Washington County Chamber of Commerce Conference Room
Courts, Government, Public Safety & Education – 
• Monday, November 9, 2026 @ 5:00 pm (Washington County School Board Meeting)
• Tuesday, November 10, 2026 @ 5:00 pm (City of Chipley Council Meeting)
o Alternative City Council Meetings – City of Vernon or Town of Caryville & Wausau
• Tuesday, November 17, 2026 @ 9:00 am – Washington Co. BOCC 
Health Care & Human Services - December 2, 2026 
Cultural and Community - January 6, 2027 
Business & Industry -  February 25, 2027,  FPL Economic Symposium Sandestin, FL (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
Class Graduation & Group Project Presentation – Annual Chamber Banquet
Class members need to attend one municipal/government meeting on their own - they can include Board of County Commissioners, City Council, School Board or other choice.
An additional session in Tallahassee to visit State Legislators may be added.

Location

Washington County and the Florida Panhandle including adjacent counties.

$375 Chamber Members
$400 Non-Chamber Members
